This Supply Chain Management Course Online, consists of the following four units:

Unit 1 – Introduction to Supply Chain

The first course unit introduces candidates to the concept of the supply chain, outlining the specifics of and differences between supply chain and logistics.  Along with an exploration of key resources and regulations, contemporary supply chain evolution is investigated along with the ‘Six Rights’ and the ‘Bullwhip’ effect.

Unit 2 – Supply Chain Drivers

Driving success as a supply chain manager represents the core focus of Unit 2, which incorporates essential teachings on appropriate transportation choice, coordinating supply chain efforts with the overall business strategy, identification of a target market’s needs and generally steering operations in the right direction.

Unit 3 – Managing Supply Chain Risk

Risk identification and management form the primary focus topics of the third unit, in which course content covers a variety of common supply chain risks, an introduction to benchmarking, several key mitigation strategies, how to effectively trap and evaluate supply chain data and the role/importance of the balanced scorecard.

Unit 4 – Supply Chain Best Practices

Is the final course unit, candidates are guided through a series of best practice guidelines for effective supply chain management and operations.  Subtopics include the sharing of key supply chain activities, the establishment and maintenance of important supply chain partnerships and an introduction to sustainable supply chain strategies.
