Course Overview

Tourism Course Online

As one of very few global industries that are largely immune to often damaging economic and political pressures, travel and tourism represents an outstanding sector in which to begin and build a career.  Tourism forms the heart and often the primary economic contributor of so many regions and in some instances entire countries – those with the relevant qualifications, skills and experience will find the entire world opening up to them with countless career prospects.

Tourism Course Online, has been designed for those with no prior experience or knowledge, who wish to join this spectacularly dynamic, energetic and consistently- stable industry sector.  The course begins by introducing the concept of travel and tourism to candidates, incorporating an investigation of why people travel, how travel and tourism have changed from a modern perspective and the way the global tourism system works.  Course content then moves onto the subjects of travel and tourism marketing, the planning and execution of tour packages, human resource management, the provision of world-class customer care and the logistics of transporting travellers from one location to another.  The course concludes with a look at crisis management, sustainable tourism and the roles and responsibilities of travel and tourism professionals.

Ultimately, successful candidates benefit from the extraordinarily valuable skills, knowledge and insights required to join existing travel and tourism brands/businesses, or begin their own business from scratch.

I truly enjoyed every minute of the course. I especially liked the fact that I was able to do the assignments in my own time and there were no deadlines whatsoever. I actually completed the course much quicker than I expected. :) The course materials were easy to read, easy to understand and also interesting. The assignments were also manageable, I had no problems with them. The teacher was always available whenever I needed to ask him a question regarding the study materials. He was also quick to respond and give very detailed feedback. I am looking forward to doing another course with BOLC!
