• Unit 1 - Life Coaching Basics

The fundamentals of effective life coaching are discussed in the first unit, which also details the functions and objectives of life coaching services.  Some of the more common reasons for consulting with a life coach are presented, along with typical daily duties in the field of life coaching and the general scope/limitations of life coaching services.

• Unit 2 - The Coaching Process

A complete overview of the life coaching process is then presented, incorporating an examination of each component stage from start to finish.  Life coaching as an ongoing process is discussed, along with the role of life coaching in enhanced personal development and the concept of the Socratic method of asking questions.

• Unit 3 - Life Coaching Tools & Techniques

Learners are then presented with a series of important life coaching tools, along with their respective applications and value.  Techniques for effective life coaching are also discussed, along with the criticality of ethics and values in life coaching.  The importance of nurturing client motivation and optimism as part of the coaching process is also examined.

• Unit 4 - Communication Basics

A crash-course introduction to advanced communication skills follows in unit four, which incorporates some of the most commonly encountered communication problems in the field of life coaching.  Candidates learn how client-coach relationships are almost always established and strengthened on the basis of good communication.

• Unit 5 - Introduction to Neuro Linguistic Programming

Unit 5 brings new or increased its programming into discussion, outlining the capacity for NLP to improve the effectiveness of the coaching process.  Influencing outcomes and developing a deeper rapport with confident using neuro linguistic programming skills are also discussed.

• Unit 6 - Communication Styles

The course concludes with a fascinating overview of the various different styles of communication, instilling candidates with the confidence to communicate more effectively with others.  Learners also explore the role and value of carefully controlled assertiveness in the field of life coaching.
