Module 1 - Introduction to Forensic Accounting

Module 4 - Fraud Detection Techniques

Module four outlines the importance of taking a proactive approach to fraud-detection and prevention.  The potential consequences of ignoring or overlooking evidence of fraudulent activity are discussed, along with an introduction to revenue recognition detection, financial statement fraud and several key fraud risk factors.

Module 5 - The Investigative Process

Course content examines the investigative process at a deeper level in module five, in which candidates study the initial stages of preparing a case against a suspected criminal.  Guidelines are presented for evaluating the strength of a case before going ahead, along with the importance of setting realistic goals and objectives during the initial planning phase.

Module 6 - Gathering Evidence

Candidates then learn how to begin the evidence gathering process, while considering different types of evidence and their respective functions in fraud detection and prevention. Key sources of evidence examined and discussed include journals, financial records, accountancy reports and so on.

Module 7 - Obtaining & Evaluating Non-Financial Evidence

Module seven examines the extent to which non-financial evidence plays an important role when establishing a case against a suspected fraudster.  Candidates learn how to assess and analyse the information contained in written statements, along with the fundamentals of the effective interview, how to ask questions strategically and the importance of presenting evidence in a confident and convincing manner.

Module 8 - Interviewing Financially Sophisticated Witnesses

Interview skills are discussed further in module eight, in which candidates learn how to deal with witnesses with advanced financial knowledge and experience. The interview planning process is also dissected and discussed, along with the structure of the effective interview and the importance of asking the right questions at the right time.

Module 9 - Fraud Risk Assessments

Candidates are then guided through the process of conducting a detailed fraud risk assessment, while considering their functions and objectives in forensic accountancy.  Tips and guidelines for more effectively detecting, categorising and prioritising threats are presented, along with choosing the most appropriate management/mitigation option for dealing with the risks identified.

Module 10 - Fraud Prevention

Module 11 – Computer Crimes

Module 11 examines the extent to which connected computer technology has increased the threat posed by fraudsters, both to businesses and members of the public alike.  Candidates consider the advantages and disadvantages of connected technology in the workplace, along with how IT systems and software can also be used to reduce the risk of fraud.

Module 12 - Working in A Forensic Team

All the courses contained great material, with many solid areas covered, It is important to understand when you tale a course you must be working sidelined with your own research to get the best result, even tha course materials are well done, there are need always to go deeper, this is what study is about, this learned me the fundamentals, and directed me into searching deeper.
