This is an introductory environmental management course for newcomers, with no prior knowledge or experience required. Study the fundamentals of environmental management over the course of two detail modules, each concluding with an online assessment for submission to your assigned tutor:
Module 1 - What is Environment?
The first module seeks to define ‘environment’ and its relevance to 21st century society as we know it. Candidates are also introduced to the fundamentals of environmental management - both as a profession and a wider concept - alongside additional knowledge areas including the food chain, the food web, the manmade environment and ecosystems.
Module 2 - Environmental Management Systems
The second module presents a series of contemporary environmental management systems, detailing their contributions to a wider environmental strategy. Candidates are introduced to ISO standards, environmental trade shifts, environmental accounting, effect measurement, impact assessments, energy efficiency and the objectives of environmental audits.
