Unit 1 – What is Change?

In the first unit, candidates explore the subject of change as a concept, with an investigation into what exactly changing is.  Along with a variety of theoretical teachings with regard to various transitions, the unit also introduces the change cycle.

Unit 2 – The Human Reaction to Change

The second unit moves away from change as a concept to explore in-depth how change provokes specific reactions and behaviours in human beings.  Change is considered alongside control, with candidates being guided through change trends, pace and human response.

Unit 3 – Adapting to Change

An investigation of adaptation and fundamental change management follows in Unit 3, which incorporates topics including understanding resiliency and resistance.  Candidates also explore making changes that stick.

Unit 4 – Strategies for Dealing with Anger

Anger management forms the core focus of Unit 4, discussing a variety of methods for managing anger and effective relaxation techniques.  Several key communication tricks and tips are introduced, along with an exploration of proactive and effective listening skills.  Candidates are also introduced to the assertive formula.

Unit 5 – Managing Stress

In the fifth and final unit, candidates explore stress-management in greater depth, with specific focus on stress in the workplace.  This is also the module in which the idea of changing ourselves in order to better cope with and manage change is introduced, along with the critically important ‘Triple-A Approach’.
