The third unit brings together the two prior units by focusing on balanced diets. Candidates are introduced to diet-balancing as a principle, along with what exactly a balanced diet is and how nutrients work in collaboration to achieve this important balance.

Unit 4 - Dietary Requirements

In this unit, candidates learn about the differences in nutritional requirements from one person to the next, along with the potential consequences of an imbalanced diet. Several diseases related to poor dietary habits are introduced, including cancer, obesity and heart disease.

Unit 5 - Eating Disorders
