The course consists of three insightful modules, which gradually introduce the world of contemporary business management and a variety of core sub-topics.  Important subjects discussed and explored at length include the different types of business management, the duties and responsibilities of business managers, workforce deployment and long-term performance management.

The business course online is divided into three units:

Unit 1 - Introduction to Business Management

In the opening course module, candidates are provided with a general overview of business management in a contemporary setting, exploring exactly what it is the business manager does and how responsibilities are shared among management teams. Organisational structures are also investigated in detail, along with different business types and small business creation.

Unit 2 - Managing Business Operations

The second module focuses on the effective and efficient management of business operations, incorporating a breakdown and exploration of several business reports and important financial terms. Candidates investigate operations types, workforce deployment strategies and how to assign duties in a manner that benefits and optimises key operations.

Unit 3 - Performance Management

Bringing the course to a close, Module 3 turns attention to the long-term management of performance. Candidates are guided through the main functions, objectives and advantages of strategic performance management, why it is that employee performance reviews are of such enormous mutual value and how to effectively plan and implement workable strategies for ongoing performance management.
