Unit 2 – The Vision Phase

The second unit focuses on instilling better-understanding of vision in business process management. Candidates investigate the concept of vision, how a vision is created, how to share a vision and the benefits than can be achieved through shared vision.

Unit 3 – The Design Phase

The third unit centres on the design phase, introducing candidates to information gathering and the determining of current and future processes. Effective process map creation using flow charts is also introduced in this unit.

Unit 4 – The Modelling Phase

The fourth unit investigates modelling and introduces candidates to the principles of ‘what-if’ analysis. Content also touches upon the concepts of design testing and its respective steps, breakdown modelling and the advantages of interactive design.

Unit 5 – The Execution Phase

Implementation of processes and their automation form the focus of the fifth unit. Course content explores the pros and cons of automation, the steps involved in automating processes and the implementation of the workflow engine.

Unit 6 – The Monitoring Phase

In this unit, candidates are provided with a broad overview of Business Activity Monitoring (BAM). The concept of the balanced scorecard and how to identify gaps within process mining are also discussed.

Unit 7 – The Optimising Phase

Optimisation of processes is covered in-depth in the seventh and final unit, with candidates being guided through business process improvement and its six steps, lean process improvement and Six Sigma.
