This Performance Management course consists of the following four units:

Unit 1 – Performance Appraisals

In the first course unit, candidates are introduced to the concept of performance-management and guided through the most important and effective types of performance reviews. Performance appraisals are also investigated, along with the specifics of choosing which approaches may or may not work.

Unit 2 – Performance Management Process

The primary focus of Unit 2 centres around the ongoing management of employee performance, beginning with how to choose the right individual for the job and continuing with effective training and coaching, the setting of appropriate standards, motivating employees to reach their full potential and providing effective feedback.

Unit 3 – Planning the Interview

Performance interview processes are introduced in the third unit, which provides a comprehensive overview of the professional interview format. Candidates are guided through the interview’s opening, discussion and closure, along with how to use the information gathered to provide effective and proactive feedback.

Unit 4 – Maintaining Performance

In the fourth and final unit, candidates explore performance problem handling techniques and how to address difficult behaviour. A variety of additional motivational theories are also covered, along with how to apply all theoretical knowledge communicated throughout the course in a working scenario.
