The fundamentals of PA and secretarial services are discussed in the first module, in which candidates are familiarised with the primary functions and responsibilities of senior admin personnel.  Course content also covers the character traits and qualities needed to succeed in the field, along with the importance of developing strong relationships with employers.

Module 2 - Telephone Skills

Module two outlines the value and importance of refined telephone skills as a secretary or PA, defining what it means to have a professional telephone manner.  Tips and guidelines for more confident call handling are also presented, along with how to take accurate messages, when and how to screen incoming calls, dealing with difficult callers and caller redirection.

Module 3 - Writing Business Letters

Concluding the course, module three guides candidates through the process of creating some of the most common types of business letters and general office communications.  Learners consider the basic structure and layout of several standardised business communications, along with the unique challenges of penning letters on behalf of others and the main differences between internal and external communications.
