Certificate in Disability Awareness QLS Level 2

Course Overview

Disability Course Online

As the disabled community continues to grow exponentially on a global basis, many businesses are entirely missing out on an extraordinarily valuable and often undervalued pool of talent.  Unemployment and underemployment among the disabled community remain in a state of total and unacceptable imbalance, irrespective of worldwide efforts to increase diversity and equality in the workplace.  However, increasingly strict governmental law and legislation is forcing brands and businesses at all levels to revisit their own disability awareness standards, slowly but surely leading to better utilisation of an extraordinarily potential-filled community.

The purpose of this Disability Course Online, is to help those working in management, supervisory or human resource positions to better-understand both the potential and the importance of the disabled working population in general. Over the course of four units, candidates are introduced to a wide variety of essential tools and tips for building and maintaining a diverse workplace, along with the key benefits of doing so. Course content on this Disability Course Online, covers appropriate workplace preparations, employee interactions, addressing challenges and barriers, key changes of importance to recruitment processes and an introduction to ever-evolving governmental policy.
