Candidates begin to explore the potential consequences and benefits of confrontation, the concept of conflict as a form of communication and the building/maintenance of reciprocal relationships.

Unit 2 – Preventing Problems

Course content in the second unit explores problem prevention, with an investigation of the importance of empathy and a series of dangerous misconceptions candidates must be aware of. The importance of focus for effective conflict resolution is also explored, along with an introduction to the Three F’s.

Unit 3 – Managing Anger

The following unit introduces candidates to the basics of anger management, incorporating an investigation of coping strategies, managing personal anger and effectively dealing with the anger of other people. Course content also covers a variety of self-protection techniques to employ when faced with criticism, along with a number of key causes attributed to difficult human behaviour.

Unit 4 – Conflict Resolution Techniques

In the fourth and final unit, a series of effective conflict resolution techniques are explored in-depth, along with the importance of the conflict resolution model. Candidates are guided through a series of critical concepts and theoretical teachings including self-change theory, how to deal with feelings of negativity, generally coping with stress and better-controlling personal thoughts in even the trickiest of situations.
